Weddings

This agreement constitutes an agreement between JK Tourism & Events (trading as Soirée) and the client. It supersedes all previous representations, negotiations, commitments and communications, whether written or oral, between the parties.

Terms & Conditions from 1 January 2023:

  1. This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between JK Tourism & Events Limited (Trading as Soirée) and the client and supersedes all previous representations, negotiations, commitments and communications, whether written or oral, between the parties.

  2. A booking fee/deposit is non-refundable. In the event that more than one client wishes to book wedding services on the same day, preference will go to the first client to pay the deposit. Rescheduled weddings will only be accommodated if the new date does not conflict with another booked wedding.

  3. If the event is cancelled or postponed by the client within 28 days of the event taking place, Soirée as the right to charge the full agreed fee.

  4. It is the client’s responsibility to secure access for Soirée in all wedding locations, at the times arranged between both parties, so Soirée can fulfil the requirements and work agreed on.

  5. Creative aspects such as styling and layout are at the discretion of Soirée, but will be checked off prior to event day with clients to ensure both parties are on the same page.

  6. Soirée will not be held liable for any problems beyond our control including but not limited to, bad weather, accidents, vendors not delivering items, lighting, interference from guests or photographers.

  7. Soirée reserves the right to terminate their services or remove themselves if you breach the terms of the engagement, or for any other good cause for example; if we feel harassed, abused or uneasy with the engagement, we feel like we can no longer fulfil the clients needs/wants and they don’t align with the Soirée brand, or there appears to be a potential danger to themselves or equipment; belligerent or intoxicated people; actions that break the law, hazardous acts eg fireworks; careless discharge of firearms; heavy smoking, drugs, nudity etc. No refund or other compensation shall be given in such cases.

  8. Please ensure all parties including families, celebrant and MC are aware of our presence on the day, and make sure we are able to all work together.

  9. Soirée reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time for any reasonable cause, e.g. accident or ill health. In this case all monies paid will be refunded in full including the deposit. If the Soirée representative is unwell on the day; sub-contracting will apply. No discount to the original package will apply.

  10. Any liability on the part of Soirée will be limited to the amount of monies paid.

  11. Soirée reserves the right to use photos taken by our team and your photographer for advertising purposes and on our social media platforms.

  12. The remaining balance of the package selected will be invoiced either in instalments between the deposit being paid and the wedding date or one week prior to the wedding date– whichever option both parties agree to. Invoices are sent via email online and will need to be paid within the due date. Failure to pay invoices may result in cancellation of our services, with no refund on booking fee.

  13. Set up of large items (tables, chairs, arches, bars, backdrops etc) will need to be put in place by your supplier.

  14. For additional hours of work on the day of the wedding which were not originally agreed to in the initial quote, there will be an additional charge of $75 (plus GST) per hour which will be invoiced following the wedding.

  15. Surcharges will be applied to events for work completed on Public Holidays and over the Christmas Holiday period (2o December - 8 January). This additional fee is to cover increased administrative and staffing costs.

  16. If the wedding is cancelled or postponed due to circumstances outside of Soirée’s control, including but not limited to pandemics, earthquakes, ill health, flooding, fire and bad weather, then Soirées reserves the right to charge any hours worked on the event prior to cancellation but any additional admin fees incurred due to the cancelation or postponement.

  17. Please make sure you have read and agreed to any Terms and Conditions from all suppliers listed in invoices supplied by Soirée. It is the clients responsibility to make sure all hire items are returned in the same way they were delivered (ie. undamaged and clean). If cleaning fees have not been arranged prior to the day and items are returned dirty, there will be a cleaning fee charged directly to the client. If items are returned damaged, a fee will be charged directly to the client to cover the breakage/damage costs.

  18. Pandemics / Covid 19: Booked dates may not be altered, changed or postponed due to a pandemic /Covid-19. Any changes or postponements will incur another contract to be signed and another non-refundable booking fee to be paid. Please note this includes postponements due to travel restrictions. The only exception to this rule is if we are in a "lockdown" or similar situation in which instance the date/booking fee may be transferable to ONE other date within 12 months.
